Ok CX newbie here, so apologies for my dumb question. I'll be travelling heaps on CX, as long as they continue to charge for J class 1000AED (about 275usd) more than for SQ Y for the DXB-(HKG)-SIN flights. I've enrolled in Asia Miles, then Marco Polo Club... only to be more confused than ever, but I guess I've figured it out that Asia Miles is for miles earn and spend, and MPC is for the tier-race.

I know there are heaps of literature online, and I've perused them, but I'm just too dense or too paranoid to be able to understand what it means.

So here's my question: USD50 to join the fee -- is this for lifetime, for just 12 months as long as I don't get any changes to my tiers???
