Victoria Coach Station - meeting an elderly passenger

I've done some research... but it hasn't given me an answer. So I hope that someone here who actually knows Victoria Coach Station might be able to help.

Background: My husband has booked a holiday for himself and his mother, departing from Gatwick. He is travelling to Gatwick from East Anglia, she is travelling for Liverpool.

We have started to come to the conclusion that the easiest thing - considering her age and state of health - would be for her to take a coach to Victoria and for them to meet up there and continue to LGW by train.

Mother-in-law has minor mobility problems, and very mild dementia. And I mean "very mild" - she is still living independently, still enjoying an active social life, still perfectly happy to get around the country by train or coach. But... she does get stressed and confused in unfamiliar situations, so we want to make things as easy for her as possible.

The simple question is, really... would my husband be able to meet her straight off the coach at Victoria, or are there barriers that non-passengers can't go through? Is there an arrival screen that would tell him where to find the coach?

If he can't meet her off the coach - is there somewhere obvious he could meet her, like a barrier?

We are aware that National Express provides assistance to disabled passengers, and that Victoria Coach Station itself offers some assistance, albeit with a disclaimer that it may not be available at busy times and that there may be delays in meeting disabled passengers... the very situation we want to avoid (we managed to "lose" her at Euston once because she assistance person wasn't there when he was needed...)

Any advice gratefully received!
