It was great, they told us of our roles as a volunteer and how we would start off everyday at the Heathrow Academy, and then get bussed to our specific terminal (you're designated to a specific terminal, I think I'll be put in T3 or T4 because I speak Arabic).
And then they said we would meet them at the aircraft door and escort them through the passport control, help them find the baggage belt, walk them through customs and out to the landside terminal where we would be bombarded with press.
and the process starts all over again. apparently they have 10 checkpoints where someone will be standing in case we need help, and we start off again back at the first pod where they tell us which gate we need to go to and who we will be collecting.
They said that if there is a group of 5 or more then a group of volunteers will collect them together.
They also took our clothes+shoe sizes as everyone recieves a complimentary adidas kit - jackets, t-shirt, trousers, trainers, bag, (water bottle? - I think).
