I certainly recommend at least one night in Chobe. A day trip will mean visiting the park in the heat of the day, not the best time for game viewing.

Rather stay at a lodge in the park proper, that we you get a head start on the game drives compared to the crowds arriving from Kasane.

If you go on a boat cruise on the Chobe River, I suggest doing it in the morning, when the river is much quieter than in the afternoons, when all the booze cruises go out.
