I agree completely with what you say. It is a matter of getting Expedia to own up to the ticket they sold me..
I have been firm with them, I will call tomorrow to see if I can get some sense out of them.. Obviously, the outcome I really am looking for is to be confirmed on these flights, but otherwise, will settle for a refund.. And would then book again (directly with an airline and probably not with Expedia)...
I mentioned this to an Expedia agent who said Cathay would charge 100USD for cancellation. I insisted on the fact that I had paid for a ticket that ended up not being what I was told...
I'll keep you posted on what happens tomorrow or Monday.
