Updating Credit Card Information on Existing Reservations
I seem to have come across a problem that does not really seem to be related to the WEB site. I made about 15 reservations several months ago and used the credit card in my profile. I had to get a new card and went back into my profile & every reservation and updated everything with the new card.
When I go in an look at my profile, it has the correct number and so does the reservation. I did receive a new reservation confirmation email for every one of those reservations I updated and shows the correct number. These were all changed about three weeks ago.
So I am traveling this week and seems every hotel still has the old credit card number. I have checked into two hotels, using e-check in and it brings up the correct number and I check in. When I get to the hotel, they want to check my credit card because the reservation is showing the old number.
My biggest concern is when I am traveling this summer, I don't get to one of the hotels in time and even though I have them all guaranteed for late arrival, they up and cancel the reservation because they have the old number.
Anyone encountered this?
I am sure when I send an email to Diamond desk, they will probably say it all looks fine, but I see this as a serious problem if I arrive late. I will most likely end up calling every hotel I have a resrvation with and be sure they have the right number before I depart.
