You walk to Sala Daeng BTS station, about 8 minutes. Then take National Stadium train to Siam, where you switch to a Mo Chit train. Take that train to Phaya Thai, where you access the Airport Express train from within the station, it's a short walk. Airport Express train lets you off in the basement of BKK, easy walk upstairs.

For me, the biggest negative of this is the walk from LM to Sala Daeng. You could take a taxi from LM to Siam or right to Phaya Thai stations, thus eliminating that problem.

You didn't mention if your departure time is 1245 or 0045. Either way, Skytrain/Airport Express train are viable alternatives if you have minimal luggage.
