Yes -- the Fremont Hilton is SO much nicer. There are other Hilton properties in the area as well. The HGI in Hayward/San Leandro is good. There is also a fairly new and quite nice Hampton on the other side of OAK. I'm not too fond of the HGI whose employee popped in just above. It's an okay property, but it irks me to have to pay for parking (that HGI is not an airport hotel. They charge simply because they can). Where to stay depends on where you need to be and what yur price range is.
