AA turned off the videos after the 1979 crash at ORD -- apparently the video feed continued to roll as the plane crashed...
It definitely wasn't after a 1979 crash, since I distinctly remember enjoying the live camera feed on AA flights in the mid- to late-80's. Perhaps some more recent mishap led AA to turn them off?
