You could howver have got Avios into an IB+ scheme account.
Then you can 'combine your avios' to transfer them into BA accout.

[Subject to restrictions: IB+ accounts need to have been open for 6 months (IIRC) before combine my avios will work, and you can't do combine my avios from IB+ to BAEC where the BAEC account is part of a BAEC household account, there is a work around for the latter, if UK based.]
