Me too. Even at current rates, longhaul K is far more expensive than V and if paying out of pocket, I would not shell out the fare diff between V and K as well as miles. In that case I would just redeem J.

My travelling pattern is to ensure that I get my 60K Club miles annually flying on Y and then any personal travel after that, I would redeem F tickets where possible, otherwise J.
