Did anybody redeem M&M miles with Ethopian?

ET website shows MXP-ADD-MXP route with only 35 euro of taxes (while redeeming their miles). FRA-ADD-FRA by ET shows 78 euro. Lufthansa flight (FRA-ADD-FRA) shows around 300 euro, so flying ET should be a real bargain.

However, when I called my M&M representative, I was told that taxes on ET are also around 300 euro. Is this real?

Last time when I redeemed miles to Africa, I paid 300 euro taxes (credit card statement), but I was told that I would pay 400 euro. Here, the difference seems too big.
