If the opportunity arises would love to upgrade using Avios.
We are on a single PNR, each with our own BA account
If I choose upgrade with points from the MMB does it only take points from my account or split it from both of them?
As far as I know we can't set up a Household Account as my main Address is in England and hers in Scotland, although we do use the Scottish one for my BA contact address.
I know it is a busy route and the chances are low but I would like to be prepared if something comes up.
We don't fly a lot but did CW to Orlando 2 years ago and then got op-upped to CE both ways on our IB\BA trip to Barcelona last year so are completely spoiled

.
Thanks for any advice/guidance

If you are not in a HHA, it will take avios from the account of whoever requests the upgrade.
If your BAEC address is the same, you should be able to create a HHA, and together with strategic use of Avios.com accounts and some quick transfers you should be able to make the system take an equal number of Avios from each HHA member.
If there aren't an equal number of Avios in each individual BAEC account of the HHA, it will take a higher proportion from whoever is richer.
Hope this makes sense
