are you using the cost of a standard room reservation or cost of the upgraded room that you actually get to determine your CPP redemtion value?
Depends on the person, but I would use the cash equivalent of what I would pay for the room, not the value of the upgraded room you may get.
The value of the room upgrade would fall into the "status" benefit vs the benefit of using points.
