Hello,

I have some expiring Asia Miles and would like to book a trip to Rio for Carnival 2013 (February 6-13 or so). AA's inventory for these dates is not open yet as it is too far out. Asia Miles told me that they could book a temporary reservation on this route and I could change the dates without penalty.

Any idea what kind of issues I might face when trying to change the dates? Would these dates be near impossible to secure even booking so far in advance?
