I dont get what DCA-LAX buys DL that a 2x DCA-SLC doesnt. Very few people are paying a premium to fly to LAX and by creating a second DCA-SLC slot they can run it like they do BWI-SLC (or used to IAD-SLC) where they have a morning flight (~700) and an evening flight (~1700).

The problem with DL funneling traffic into LAX is there arent many domestic connections DL makes from there vs. what they could/can make out of SLC for a similar connection.
