DL has always had a love/hate relationship with LAX. As much as it thinks it has a hub at LAX, it is really a 4th bit player there (with UA, AA and WN all having a larger presence). DL is a pretend player at LAX, and probably always will be.
Delta is larger by Market share than WN. (and maybe flights, it would be close)
Anyways, don't look for Delta to fly any new route AS has, that defeats the point of outsourcing. Also more dropping of routes and AS magically adding them back the next day will likely continue. (that is till the pilots union, hopefully, gets better SCOPE language in C12.)
