I'm well aware that (a) what I'm about to say is not directly relevant to THIS forum and (b) it will not help you at all in your miles quest.

But you should consider Priceline for your hotel stays. If you know what you're doing you can get nice hotels near where you want to be, for half of what you will probably pay otherwise.

I'm sure your company won't offer you any cash inducements to do this (and it would be taxable anyway) but if you are going to be traveling that much, maybe you could cut a deal with them to look the other way if you occasionally stretch a trip through a weekend, or have dinner at Ruth's Chris instead of Longhorn.
