I think the AA flight times are great. I'm not a red-eye fan at all and thankfully WiFi now allows me to get work done while flying which greatly mitigates losing a day traveling.

Traveling west I love the fact that it's an end-of-day flight where I can have a day in DC, arrive in LAX, head home and get to bed soon after.
