I have received various replies from BA regarding the cancellation and involuntary downgrade.

With respect to the cancellation, as a gesture of goodwill they have sent me a voucher worth £400 - I am happy with this outcome.

In terms of the involuntary downgrade, they have credited my Exec account with 18266 Avios. The booking was on a 2-4-1 voucher in J, so 100k miles for the 2 J seats. I am at a loss as to how BA has reached the number 18266. My account is showing the following information:

28-Feb-12 28-Feb-12 Redeposit 0 169,252
28-Feb-12 28-Feb-12 Redemption 0 -150,986

Can any of the BA Gurus enlighten me as to how the Refunds department has reached the number 18266?

Also, I have not (yet) received any refund for the taxes that I paid - I am assuming that a 75% refund will be paid or am I wrong? I accept that the refund may be making its way through the tortuous banking system whilst I type.

Thanks in advance.
