I've searched here on FT before, but couldn't find much information about this topic. After five calls into AMEX MR services (Canada), I was told that I am not able to transfer my MR points to another person's frequent traveler program account (e.g. to SPG). This came to me as a surprise as in my previous call a supervisor had assured me that they can do this manually. It's been a bit frustrating dealing with AMEX here in Canada (the program is so much different with much less favorable transfer rates compared to the US).

Has anyone had been successful in transferring Canadian AMEX MR points for someone else?
