Gas stations along Astoria Blvd. would be the closest & easiest to find - the Mobils on either side of GCP has probably just about the highest priced petrol in Queens - drove by early this morning w. $4.29 cash price for regular, errrrh.

Coming out of the car rental lot, go toward Ditmas Blvd at the traffic light, left turn & cross the GCP overpass (DB become 81st Street) & quickly bear left for 2nd. traffic light is Astoria Blvd.

From there, you reverse direction & keep left at the GCP below you, and the entrance to the BQE is directly ahead on the left - there are signs - to go toward Manhattan.
