I can only comment on the Berna, which I stayed in last winter (i.e. a bit more than a year ago). Generally I have positive things to say about it. The location was pretty convenient, and pleasant - it was a good place to go wandering round, it was close to several metro stations, and it wasn't very far to the main sights (I walked down to the waterfront, and back, but some people might choose not to do that). I returned to the hotel one night well after midnight and felt perfectly safe.

The people on the front desk were very helpful, and pleasant. Indeed, the welcome I received on arrival was one of the best I can recall of any hotel I've stayed in recently. They were able to assist me with several general enquiries, and they booked a very early taxi on the morning of my departure with no problems.

The dining room was fine. I suppose dinner was not overwhelmingly exciting but the food was good (and fresh), the service was friendly, and I have no complaints. Breakfast was good. I didn't use room service.

My room was also fine. It wasn't big, but it was well laid out, and clean. There was space to put papers and work etc. I didn't need to connect my computer to the internet, so I can't comment on that.

Certainly I'd consider staying there again.
