I did a day trip on Saturday, and just had my backpack. So I timed it. From getting off the escalator leaving the Petchburi station to the entrance door at Makassan station took me three and half minutes. And the same on the return trip. Obviously if you are lugging bags allow extra time, but it was still fairly quick all the same.
