Because one of human beings' many weaknesses is just that - worrying about what everyone else is doing or not doing. If you're involved in any other internet forum it isn't really much different. FWIW I don't think it's any better or worse on comparable threads. By comparable I mean those dealing with the largest carriers simply because they tend to have the most people.
