Hope you don't mind letting us know how it goes.
Just stayed a overnight in HGI Frankfurt Airport and I must say it was quite a good stay.
I called a day before to this property and told that I would be arriving early in Frankfurt and would like to have a early check-in. The employee on the phone pulled out my reservation, put the request in it and as usual told that they cannot guarantee it but will try their best.
I arrived there at around 10 am, went up to the desk which was manned by two trainees. I told her I had a reservation, she pulled it out and just followed the standard check in procedure. So, early-in was indeed being granted, but the hotel did not seem to be very busy. If you call the hotel a day before telling them you are arriving early, checkin-in at around 11 am will not be a problem

. Though I did not got a recognition of being a gold member, also did not get 2 bottles of water or any other perks.
First I got room 11263 which was on their highest floor, but I noticed when I went into the room that the fan was too loud. I called the reception explaining the problem and they told me they will sent up a technician. While waiting for the technician, the assistant manager called my room, apologized and told me that they could put me in another room and she would be there in 5 minutes with another key! ^
The technician came to my room and indeed the fan was broken, due to the box that controls the fan. He told me to change rooms, which I was also offered by the assistant manager the phone. When the technician left, shortly the assistant manager knocked on my door, offered to help me with my luggage and led me to the other room. During the walk to the other room, she asked if it was my first stay there and where I flew from. The way she handled the situation was so professional and really pleasant ^!
She led me to room 10209 (one floor lower) opened the door and apologized again, wished me a nice stay and if I needed something just call the reception and ask for her! Her name was Sonya (if I recall it correctly), so if you ever meet her, you will be pleasantly surprised!^^
It seemed that the room 10209 was bigger and more spacious than the first room! Not sure if this room was indeed bigger, but it really felt more spacious, I think the ceilings were higher too. The room was actually very nice, designed with wood in mind, bed was comfy and a nice desk to work on. It was indeed modern. The bathroom was my favorite, though it was not a big bathroom, the floor was also from wood (laminate), a nice mirror with a big ring light and a deep tub. It still had the Neutrogena bath amenities though.
Breakfast buffet was nice, with hot food, fruit, cakes and other pastries, coffee/tea and fruit juices. 'Ihr Platz' was still open and indeed you could get anything there. But here are many other restaurants in the building which is also very convenient.
All in all, it was a good stay and the rate 99EUR (breakfast free because of gold status) it was of good value. ^
