Basically, what are the chances that a random 7:30pm flight in the winter would be cancelled all together from DTW? I don't care if it is delayed, as long as I get there at some point before noon the next day. I know my chances are slim of getting there should that flight get cancelled, so I am trying to determine if it is really worth spending the extra $$$ to fly an earlier flight.
One thing to note: when booking this far out, you're almost guaranteed to have a bunch of schedule changes in there. So that 7:30PM flight might get cancelled in August for your December departure.
