When I was in Peru last months, I would have been glad to be able to use Peruvian fare and kiss good-bye to the (useless) miles.
I smell the typical rant against LAN from non-Chilean.
Two months ago, it was interesting to see and hear all the unfounded chauvinistic rants against LAN Peru (perceived to be and operated from Chile) when the Lima airport was closed despite the fact that it is the aviation authority from Peru that screwed up big time and LAN had to pay for the damage.
Again just saying...

ah
minos your sense of smell might not be good today, I was impressed the way LAN managed the problem caused by airport authority and said so.
Just to be clear, those cheap fares to which you refer are Base fares and so cheap I'd agree with you they don't deserve many, if any, kms. Except for Colombia, all other countries give 25%, Peru included, for these CK and SP fares, seems fair enough, treating all equal.
I am referring to LE fares which typically are 2x cost of the cheapest base fares. And if these domestic route fares deserve 100% in Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Equador, then they shouldn't get only 25% in Peru. Something smells, but maybe you have a cold and your sinuses are blocked.
