I´m actually not sure Aeroplan numbers are issued in sequential order.

I take care of a few people´s AE accounts and one member who joined in 2009 has a number starting with 349 while another person who joined in 2011 has a number starting with 542. That would be quite an impressive growth in members within 18 months.
