Policy for luggage check on delayed flight
I received an email today that my flight would depart an hour and 45 minutes late. After the experiences of the last two weeks, no surprise to me so I took my time to drop my traveling companions off at their DFW gates, gas up the rental and change my clothes. Got to the ticket counter to check my bag and got yelled at for a late check-in. I was 28 minutes from the original departure time; way ahead of the new time they sent me. Long story long, I go through security and am sent back to the ticket agent since my BP didn't print the date. the new GA tells me that the flight isn't late at all and to hurry. I don and find that the flight is now posted 30 minutes late and we end up pushing back 45 minutes late. No surprise, no luggage in MSP. The surprise is that I'm told that since I checked my luggage in late, no love from Delta. She told me that it makes no difference what the email said, I still have to check the luggage based upon the original time. ?????
