I remember seeing Navy Pier at night as well as downtown Chicago.

However my favorite flight that was the most scenic was IAH-CDG! As we flew Ireland we were treated to a nice sun rise, then over into the United Kingdom, the English Channel and the French Countryside!

Also I enjoy the IAH-LAS-IAH flight with all of the mountains especially during the winter! Plus the flight from IAH-JAX-IAH is a scenic flight whether at night or during the day as you normally fly along the coast and you can see all the ships at night with their lights.
I have never had the pleasure of flying internationally, I would like to very much. I agree with you that flying into Las Vegas (Once I even saw the Hoover Dam), as well as Phoenix and Los Angeles, has very good views of the mountains. They look almost as good in the air as they do on the ground, I experienced that when I road tripped from NY to Phoenix about 8 weeks ago, then flew back on jetBlue. I don't know if i'll make a trip report on that since it has very little to do with the flight I took, do you think TR's on road trips are allowed?
