AS OP I understand the company should save money anyway they can, and I would have taken this trip with or without miles, since it was important to my customer for me to travel.

For those that ask if travel is a part of my job, the answer is that it is a small part, maybe one trip a month. The miles I did not get are insignificant to me, as it would have been a grand total of 1500 mile.

My point is that it would have been nice to know this up front.

Also, how many of you would be happy if you did not get miles say every 10th trip.
