Does your current card have an annual fee? I'm not sure if they're doing product changes on no AF->AF cards because of their interpretation of the new credit card act put into place last year. It never hurts to call and ask though.

As far as the Citi Exec card, if you don't travel frequently, I personally don't think it's worth the $450 AF. You are paying for lounge access and gold "lite" status on American. If you are a casual traveler, I think it would be better to have a card that could give rewards on multiple airlines. Try the Citi Premier card, there is a 50k offer link around here somewhere.
