this would be useful for someone where they have some airpoint dollars and not much future travel planned on NZ - they can 'clean out their account'.
Makes sense I guess. It just struck me as odd that a "significant number of members" have done this already. You need to be a NZ resident to use the OneSmart card so presumeably they should have use for those points at some point in the future. I would have thought most people should be motivated to accrue the APD by paying for the ticket in cash.
