Normally employers would use skybonus points to give perks like a free ticket for personal travel or upgrade certificate to their employees... or to hoard them for their executives or board members.

Its up to the business to decide how to use them, but personally I think its kinda crappy that they used one for your normal business travel. The travel agent should've at least told you also.
