AA starts to release award seats 331 days in advance. Additional award seats may or may not be released at any time thereafter.

Note that ba.com does not always do a good job of displaying award-seat availability on AA flights, and never displays award-seat availability on AS flights. Your best bet is to first search for these flights on aa.com; if you find "MileSAAver" award seats, then you should be able to secure them with BA Avios, but may have to call the BAEC Service Center if the flights do not come up on ba.com.
