And so......... I have cancelled the flights and paid £75 for the pleasure of teaching me a lesson. About half an hour ago there were return flights available to upgrade to LAX (the nice man from BA kindly suggested that the chance of availability to upgrade on SAN was very slim) but, woe is me, gone again. I await patiently, meanwhile, the reappearance of 150000 Avios.
Tomorrow is another day
