If you read the post correctly. I am the OP of this posting.

Let me point out the elephant again on this posting.

"IT DOES NOT TAKE OVER AN HOUR TO TICKET AN INFANT LAP TICKET"
As a Travel agent, I can tell you , YES IT DOES ... especially when the original ticket does not have an infant attached to it.

Once a ticket has been issued, you cannot just 'add on' an infant fare to the original PNR. An infant cannot have a new PNR otherwise it will be considered as an adult ticket.

The original adult booking must be cancelled.

Then a new PNR created with infant name attached to said passenger.
The original e-ticket will then have to be reissued and linked to the new reservation. Adult's return ticket is fine. And as infant travelled oneway its okay too. But you cannot add on a return to the original ticket. BKK and SIN pricing is different. The infant ticket will then have to priced out seperately as the original ticketing is not the same as the adult. So CX had to reissue adult ticket as oneway, with balance of ticket from Cupid transferring to Amadeus system. E-ticketing isn't like the old days of paper tickets when you can book any reservation and have an existing ticket and just show up and travel. The system must accept the e-ticket. If the taxes / fare don't add up correctly, the ticket will not issue. The infant ticket must match with adult ticket info or else it will not issue either.

CX was having issues with their system migration to Amadeus. The original booking was on the old system. With the migration, and when you create a new booking, it does not always transfer through. Agents at airport are unsure what to do as they are not senior ticketing staff who are so versed with issuing on Amadeus.

2 hours is NOT enough to correct this situation. Even if they were on the old computer system, you should have gone to the airport at least 3 hours beforehand or you should have called CX in advance (like the day before) and told them what you had intended to do and they can at least prepare the reservation in advance. And when you arrived at the airport, you went to the VAT (its actually called GST in Singapore) returns first ! You should have gone to the ticket desk and told them to prepare the ticket before you went to the GST refund desk.

Don't badger about what CX did to you etc... honestly it is you who does not understand the logistics of airline ticketing. Oneway from BKK is different from oneway from SIN pricing.

BTW, What elephant are you referring to ? Your boss is an elephant? His wife is one?
