Recently I was presented with the same situation and as a taller/bigger guy I am dairly inflexible unless its a mutual trade. Redeye ANC-PDX 1C wanted to swap with my 2A to be seated next to their companion. Well I declined due to legroom issues (not much in row 1). 1A offered to switch with 2C which was accepoted, but I don't think the folks in front of me were terribly happy. I don't get the huge deal though- they just slept anyway
