SAP and Oracle are quite a bit more than simply databases - I should know - that's my specialty.
And they have plenty of interfacing modules that can retrieve information real-time.
If AA doesn't already have a smooth system to deal with the issues you mention (almost 0% chance), they really have no business doing any international business whatsoever.
And I agree with the previous poster that mentioned that the forex piece could and should be a profit center for them. If they don't have folks that already handle these sorts of things, again, they have no business operating internationally.
