If you have about 3 hours or more and the desire/requirement to shop, then the Dolphin Mall is a 15min cab ride away and is pretty good for shopping and food pre-flight (assuming you're making a connection rather than originating). About $20 each way IIRC, and a better way of spending a few hours than milling around MIA's departures & the lounges.
