There can be 2 spins on this: either, 3 bags in C was a differentiator on LY, and once again, they are looking for the lowest common denominator; or, everyone else allows just 2 in C for non-status pax (CO/UA, LH, LX). The exception is BA. (Even DL allows just 2 in BusinessElite.)
Once upon a time you could earn AA miles on LY so I thought that AA elites might be considered elite for LY purposes as well - is that not the case anymore?
