Yes, I booked the Triple Points (buffet breakfast included) rate. I figure I'll get 40 points/dollar (at least) on the pre-tax rate. I get 10 points + 5 points Diamond bonus + 5 points in lieu of airline miles (signed up for offer) = 20 points per dollar. Triple points should add another 20 points per dollar.

On top of that, I'll get 5 points per dollar on the TOTAL (including tax and extras) for using my HHonors Amex.

I think the extra 20 points/dollar works out to a better deal than the AAA rate.

But, maybe there's even a better deal to be had???
