e-mail and snail mail confirmations
I couldn't find the earlier thread where we discussed the efficiency of AC's e-mail confirmations, hence the new one.
When I make a booking I get an instant e-mail confirmation that is usually there before I'm off the phone, so the agent knows it has arrived. This is wonderful, efficient, and low cost for AC. Why, then, do they need to follow up with a snail mail copy of the identical confirmation? At a cost of 77c for the postage plus the preparation of the enevlope etc. this makes no sense whatsoever. Is this another example of miscommunication within the system, so that the ticketing desk in Winnipeg isn't aware that the SE desk in Montreal has already sent a confirmation?
