So many of the Mixed Fleets benefits would never have been achieved though if this were the case. Whilst yes custom and practice had already had people either end of the trolly earning different sums of money, was there any custom and practice of either end of the trolley working to different standards, or taking part in different performance management processes?

I agree with and applaud your overall sentiment, that its a shame there is such division, but to realise the full benefits of MF (much more over and above reduced salaries) I can see how the balance in the end came down to separation of the two.
