Does it hurt your chances of approval if you don't have a savings account
I've noticed that every credit card application I've ever filled out asks if I have checking and savings accounts. I don't have a savings account; never bothered with one since I keep my savings with my brokerage. Does this hurt me? Should I open a savings account so I can answer yes and improve my chances of getting approved? I assume it matters, or they wouldn't be asking, but to what extent?
