I agree. Don't assume that I will move for you and I probably will. Assume I will and you are flying alone
I've straight up told someone before "Had you waited and asked, I probably would have moved." That was after they gave me a bit of an attitude once I informed them they were in my seat. There's a slight satisfaction when they walk away with their tail between their legs.
