Why does Hertz (and all other rental companies too, for that matter) insist on calling a COMPACT car a "mid-size" class, a MID-SIZE car a "full size" class, and an ENTRY-LEVEL FULL-SIZE (i.e. Maxima) a "premium" class?
I get it Hertz... You are charging more for every car class. I still rent with you, so obviously I am willing to accept that.
Do you really think your customers are so dumb as to think that a compact Cruze is a mid-size, that a mid-size Malibu is a full size, or that a mid-size Regal is a premium car? It is very annoying to be constantly lied to, even if we are all used to being told we are getting a "specialty" or "premium" car when it is obviously just a base-trim entry-level car.
Hasn't Hertz ever heard of managing customer expectations? Shouldn't they call a Malibu a compact so customers will be pleasantly surprised rather than constantly disappointed when they pick up their rental?
