There are lots of ways to fly in Medium band PRG-RNO with a JFK overnight. In Business class that could be a 180K mile round-trip. Whether the OP wants to keep searching for Low band, or mix classes (going or returning, or by segment) depends on how he chooses to use his time and miles. The downloadable schedule shows only three routings PRG-RNO (all done without an overnight):
PRG-AMS-SEA-RNO (not Saturdays)
PRG-CDG-SEA-RNO (daily in June)
PRG-JFK-SLC-RNO (daily in June)
None of the above are available June 18-30 according to my call to DL. They all require an overnight in JFK or AMS. YVR-RNO is 1000 miles but with two drivers is just a long day and the rental car from the US side of the border is cheaper than most JFK airport hotels.
Plus, I just hate JFK.
I actually don't mind driving. A couple years ago DL had me routed ATL-SLC-RNO and we got into SLC an hour late, missing the last RNO flight. They wanted to route me 24 hours later SLC-RNO or the next morning via LAX-Mamoth Lakes-RNO. I rented a car and drove the 511 miles back to RNO overnight. I-80 through NV is mostly empty.
