It's actually longer to SAN from LHR than what it is to LAX. So, undoubtedly it will be a nightstop for MF but better wait to see what BA decide. SAN will be a four day trip for WW as it's considered a long-range but still it probably saves BA a lot of money whilst transferring LAX to MF.
Already I'm hearing from some crew friends on WW that they are not too pleased with this.
